Attorney Renee M. DiSalvo-LaCivita obtained her Bachelors Degree at Youngstown State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She received her Juris Doctorate from Akron University in 1996. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1997.

Prior to joining Betras Harshman, Atty. DiSalvo-LaCivita was a sole practitioner with experience in all phases of litigation. Her civil practice included personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance issues, domestic relations and contracts. Her criminal defense practice included adult and juvenile defense. She functioned as Guardian ad Litem in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, and serves as a Mahoning County Mediator for resolution of all manner of civil cases filed in the Court of Common Pleas.

Atty. DiSalvo-LaCivita was formerly a Trial Lawyer for the Nationwide Insurance Company's Trial Division, where she was involved with insurance defense litigation for individual insureds, school boards and businesses.

She has been a member of the adjunct faculties of Kent State University and Youngstown State University, where she taught all levels of Legal Research and Writing for the Paralegal and Criminal Justice Departments.

Atty. DiSalvo-LaCivita lives in Boardman and has a son, Dante and a daughter-in-law, Meghan.
